Harvest Service 2025 – St Andrew’s Church, Kirk Ella

Thank you to everyone!

Thanks to  everyone who came to our Harvest service and contributed to our collection this year. We have a car load for the Boulevard Breakfast Club and another for the Food Bank at St John’s Church, Bransholme. Well done!

Every year, we gather to remember God’s generosity in giving us life, breath, and everything. In particular, we remember the rain and sun that brought us crops of every kind, the farmers, delivery drivers, shopkeepers and more whose hard work feeds us. From all that God gives to us, we give to others as an act of thanksgiving.

We give thanks too for the flowers, plants and crops that the Flower Guild used to beautify the church, and the Sunday group children’s fantastic fruit and veg creatures. Didn’t they do well?

During the week these beautiful flowers will bring the harvest to people’s homes as they are repurposed into bouquets by our Flower Guild to share and bring a little joy to people in the community who’ve recently experienced loss.
